ARTIST 
John Avon will be making squiggles, practicing his signature, selling prints/proofs/originals and generally inspiring amazement at the Magic: The Gathering 2010 Core Set "Regional" Pre-release between 10:30am and 4:00pm (excludes 1pm - 2pm). John (born 1961) is an English freelance illustrator, working primarily in the field of Fantasy and Science Fiction. His professional art career started in 1983, when he initially accepted all aspects of commercial advertising, from local brochures to national advertising campaigns, and he began to paint book-covers, including internationally distinguished authors such as Stephen King ("The Dark Tower"), Terry Pratchett ("Johnny and the...), Arthur C. Clarke, among many others. Over the last decade he has produced hundreds of paintings for the collectable trading card game Magic: The Gathering in co-operation with Wizards Of The Coast who have gone on to become his longest standing and favourite client.

CAR PARKING FREE parking is readily available on single yellow lines from 1:30pm. The hotel has its own underground car park (120 space). Parking at the hotel costs from £4 for 2 hours up to £17 for 24 hours, which is considerably cheaper than parking at a parking meter in the surrounding streets. We will refund the cost of parking at the hotel with two FREE Side Event vouchers.
CONGESTION CHARGE The charge does NOT apply at weekends. The Congestion Charge zone covers most of central London, including the venues used by The Games Club. The congestion charge applies from 7.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public Holidays.
