M:TG The Games Club Invitational The following players took part in the second ever The Games Club Invitational tournament, which was held at The Games Club Monthly on Sunday, 18th April 2010. The format for The Games Club Invitational was Rise of the Eldrazi Rotisserie Draft. Once the draft was completed the highest seeded player in the Top 8 Pod and the highest seeded Bottom 8 & 8 Frequent Player Pod formed a team. This was repeated for all the players with second highest players teaming up and so on. The structure for The Games Club Invitational was Two-Headed Giant Round Robin (with each team playing every other team). Points were then awarded based on the team's performance (win=3, draw=1 & lose=0). There will be another of The Games Club's Invitational tournaments held at the Magic 2011 "Local" Pre-release on Sunday, 11th July 2010. Invitations will be given to the Top 8 and 8 Most Frequent players according to The Games Club's WPN League (Rise of the Eldrazi) , that have participated in a minimum of 6 events. |
