The format for The Games Club Invitational was Mirrodin/Darksteel/Fifth Dawn Booster Draft. Once the draft was completed the highest seeded player in the Top 8 Pod received the cards drafted by the lowest seeded player in the Bottom 8 Pod, from which to build their deck with and vice versa. This was repeated for all the players with second highest player receiving the second lowest player's cards and so on. The structure for The Games Club Invitational was Round Robin (with each players playing every other player in their pod). Points were then awarded based on a player's individual performance (win=3, draw=1 & lose=0) with additional points given according to how well the deck built from a player's drafted cards did (win=2, draw=1 & lose=0). The prizes for each pod were: 1st - 36 Fifth Dawn Boosters 2nd - 18 Fifth Dawn Boosters 3rd & 4th - 9 Fifth Dawn Boosters There will be another of The Games Club's Invitational tournaments held at MiniCon XIV on Sunday, 26th September 2004.
